The Reception Dress, June 2016

Reception Dress is a 50lb dress that is made up of stones covered in velvet (originally used in the Feel the Velvet piece) which I wore during the opening night of the Palos Verdes Art Center exhibition. During the opening night, I gradually extracted stones from the dress to relieve the weight of it. What was exhibited during the month of the show was the dress, the extracted stones, as well as the performance documentation.
